With James Gunn’s new DC film The Suicide Squad coming out, we decided to do one of our drafts to try to predict who is going to die before the end of the movie. The second in the Suicide Squad series, this follows various DC villians who are put on a team to attempt to work off their prison sentences (but if they go rogue or don’t follow orders, a small explosive that is injected in their heads is set off). James Gunn has promised that there will be lots of twists and turns and surprises so we decided to see if we could predict them. We’ve done these drafts before and Kenan had first pick this time so after the movie comes out, we’ll see who correctly predicted who wouldn’t make it until the end of the movie. For a tiebreaker, we’re also including a prediction on whether they die by the explosive or by another method. Don’t forget to check out Kenan’s team!
Kenan’s 1st Pick – Blackguard
Jason’s 1st Pick – Javelin (Explosive)
I would’ve taken Pete Davidson too as my top pick but after that, I’ll go with Javelin. Look at this guy. He isn’t making it long. I believe the first scene or opening scenes of the movie will be a version of the Suicide Squad where the entire team, or most of the team gets taken out. Javelin will be on the list and will probably be one of the first to go.
Kenan’s 2nd Pick – TDK
Jason’s 2nd Pick – Mongal (Explosive)
Mongal is another character that I’m not familiar with but I think will be a part of that first wave that gets completely taken out. We haven’t seen that much of her in the trailer so I’m going with her as my second pick, by way of explosive.
Kenan’s 3rd Pick – Savant
Jason’s 3rd Pick – Weasel (Explosive)
Weasel is played by James Gunn’s brother Sean Gunn and in my opinion, he will not pass up the opportunity to use some of the CGI budget to set off that explosive. Weasel it doesn’t appear will make it very long and honestly, I think the first 6 picks here are close to sure bets.
Kenan’s 4th Pick – Captain Boomerang
Jason’s 4th Pick – The Thinker (Other)
These are characters I do not know much about but just based on gut instinct, I’m saying The Thinker doesn’t make it. I’m not sure he will even have an explosive in his head, so my pick is “other” for the reason but I could also see a member of the Squad (Bloodsport, Rick Flag, Harley) ending him for one reason or another.
Kenan’s 5th Pick – Unnamed Taiki Waititi character
Jason’s 5th Pick – Rick Flag (Other)
I’m reaching on this one I think but I think some of the characters from the original aren’t going to make it and I’m going for my main one to be Rick Flag. Joel Kinnamen being the de facto leader of the squad, I can see him being the death that brings the team together in the third act of the movie.
Kenan’s 6th Pick – Sol Soria
Jason’s 6th Pick – Polka Dot Man (Other)
I was back and forth on this one, as Polka Dot Man has said in the trailers how much he is hoping they die, which means that he will probably live. However, I’m going with this to be the final shot of the movie, the “Final Destination” shot where the movie gets us one last time, and Polka Dot Man gets his wish, but not by explosive but in a crazy, James Gunn unexpected way.
Kenan’s 7th Pick – Bloodsport
Jason’s 7th Pick – Rat Catcher 2 (Explosive)
There is a scene in the trailer where Bloodsport & Rat Catcher 2 are having a conversation telling each other they are going to get the other out of some predictament. We both agree that only one is going to make it to the end of the movie but Kenan & I disagree on which character. I’m going with Rat Catcher
Kenan’s 8th Pick – Peace Keeper
Jason’s 8th Pick – King Shark (Other)
I’ve loved me some King Shark. I’ve loved this character since his first episode of the animated Harley Quinn TV show. I think he’s going to steal the movie and it’s going to break my heart if the King doesn’t make it out of this movie. I would love to see him make a few other movies and appearances in the DCEU

Let’s make this one sweet and simple. It ain’t happening but there were 18 eligible characters for this draft and this was the last one up. But it ain’t happening. They’re not killing the golden goose.
